懐玉齋
Kaigyokusai типа
Mei: Masatsugu 正次, Kaigyokudo 懐玉堂, Kaigyoku 懐玉, Kaigyokusai 壊玉齋, Kaigyokusai in 懐玉齋印, Kaigyokusai Masatsugu in 懐玉齋正次印. Kaimyo: Tokuo Kaigyoku Zenjoman. Born September 13, 1813, the first son of Shimizu Kichibei 清水吉兵衛 of Sugishitadori, Osaka. In January 1829, he was adopted by Yasunaga Kichirobei 安永吉郎兵衛. After the death of his adoptive father, he succeeded to the name of Yasunaga. Had no teacher in the study of carving techniques. Made sketches from life. Carved in wood and ivory. Used the mei of Masatsugu 正次 until approximately his 20th year, Kaigyokudo 懐玉堂 until approximately his 30th year, Kaigyoku 懐玉 until about his 50th year, and Kaigyokusai 懐玉齋 thereafter. His output comprised mainly okimono and netsuke. About 70 or 80 percent of his work was exported to foreign countries. Among his okimono masterpieces are "Scenes of Plowing," "Child and Shishi" (owned by the Sumitomo family), and "Takarazukushi" (a collection of symbols indicating wealth, happiness, comfort, and luxury). The "Takara-zukushi" is in ivory and incorporates the Seven Lucky Gods. It is owned by a branch of the Imperial Family. Other okimono include the palace of the Dragon King carved in a clamshell and the happy old couple of Takasago carved in a pine cone. Kaigyokusai once fashioned a netsuke in the form of a mushroom basket. When some children who saw it were unable to identify the subject, he came to doubt the success of his effort, and he destroyed the netsuke without hesitation. Kaigyokusai's work is extremely fine and beautiful. Using only the finest ivory material, he carefully polished and finished his work. At first he used the mei of Masatsugu. Although his skill at carving was excellent, his writing of his mei was criticized. Therefore he studied calligraphy until his ability to write was excellent. About 1887, he had many pupils. When they moved to Tokyo, he did not object but on the contrary suggested that carving in Tokyo would be improved by their presence and that they should become well known in Tokyo. Drank 2 or 3 liters of sake every day, starting in the morning. Carved all night whenever he felt well. Died on January 21, 1892, at his residence in Osaka at the age of 80. Buried at the Hoju-in. There are numerous carvings that bear the signature of Kaigyokusai, but many are forgeries. His grandson Seikei (Hidezo Yasunaga) presently lives in Osaka. See Figs. 32, 70, 74, 75, and 146. Спасибо! Осталось получить подпись Кайгёкусая: "Это не Кайгёкусай, Кайгёкусай." И цены не будет замечатльной работе. Очень здесь уместно употребить подпись Amator.valonline писал(а):Ага и печать MasaTsugu - справа налево. Конечно не он, лучше бы не подписывали!
